We have SUCH a loving Father.

It’s amazing how His words can calm your heart faster than whatever stirred it in the first place. I have been struggling with people whose relationships with me have unfortunately deteriorated, and I have found peace in the Word. Nothing is too great for my God.

[28]Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. [29]Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. [30]For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30 ; NIV)

With all the struggles, I knew it was time to turn to God. It was what I should’ve done in the first place. I love that I was led to this passage at this time. Immediately, my heart was easy and my mind was cleared. Too often, we find ourselves trying to fix our problems, confident that we have things under control, but sometimes, they’re not. We get to that point & THAT’s when we turn to God. How foolish. “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1) Yet, sometimes, that’s the only way He’ll get our attention. By bringing us to the point of desperation. To make us realize that we are nothing but helpless without Him. He says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

I had a conversation with a close friend almost a year ago, but I have never forgotten about what he told me. (Well, it’s not verbatim, but this is basically what he said.)

Your faith increases in the best way when you’re put in a position where you have nowhere else to turn but to God.

TRUST, He WILL get your attention.

God is good :)

Kbye.
